This course is made up of three main units: Allotment Gardening, Soft Landscaping and Plant Propagation. All students will also be expected to pass the unit on the safe use of tools.

All three units are taught together and involve the preparation of an allotment area outside, growing crops from seed through to their harvesting, production of plants from cuttings and their after care. There is also written work required to show knowledge of the different crops and the different techniques needed for their production. 

All the resources, including personal protective equipment (and overalls and wellies!), are provided.
